The Warrior’s Path passes through about twenty counties in Eastern Kentucky from South Portsmouth, Ohio to The Cumberland Gap. So far, we have identified select starter communities along the path that meet certain criteria.
- Close proximity to the Warriors Path, within 5-10 miles or a connecting community.
- Knowledge of The Warriors Path of Kentucky mission and project.
- Local support/interest, including support from local tourism organization.
- Model community to represent the path. Clean, open to visitors, and outdoor recreation oriented.
- Plans to establish hiking, bike, and driving paths along the Warrior’s Path.
- Willing to promote and/or host an information center
